There are a few different ways to say “Goodbye” in Georgian, both in polite and casual forms:

  1. ნახვამდის

    • Pronunciation – nakhvamdis

    • Meaning – Goodbye

This is the most polite way to say goodbye in Georgian. It is commonly used in official settings, at work, or when speaking with older people.

  1. კარგად იყავით

    • Pronunciation – kargad ikhavit

    • Meaning – Goodbye

This is another polite way to say goodbye, similar to the previous phrase. A shorter, more casual version of this is კარგად (kargad), which is often used to say bye to friends and family. It’s the equivalent of “bye-bye.”

  1. შემდეგ შეხვედრამდე

    • Pronunciation – shemdeg shekhvedramde

    • Meaning – See you next time

This phrase is used when you expect to see someone again in the near future.
